Finalist In AOL Sports Search

On Monday morning, I decided to go out on a limb and try out for AOL’s search for the next great sportscaster. I thought it’d be a good idea to get more audition practice. It was a pretty quick and easy audition process. Once I made the top twenty I had to go through a trivia round to get through the final cuts. I got the first answer wrong and was booted out. Luckily, I received a second chance and got the answer right. The question was, “Who holds the record for the most sacks in a single season, who is also a morning TV host?” The answer, of course, is Michael Strahan, someone I won’t ever forget because I interviewed him about a year ago and he was super nice! So lo and behold I made the top two selections in New York and headed back Tuesday for the final round. Tuesday consisted of five rounds of trivia and team challenges and I didn’t do well in either. I was cut in the final round of eliminations and Nick Creegan went on to win it. Overall, it was a great experience and I had a superb time going through the competition and an even better time getting to know all of the contestants. I miss them all already! I’m so happy for Nick, he’s going to have a great show and I can’t wait to tune in.
