My first All-Star experience was incredible. Last week I was at the Super Bowl, this week I’m covering the NBA, this past month has been an exciting one to say the least!
I didn’t think the dunk contest would be all that great because Blake Griffin wasn’t in it this year but boy was I wrong. LaVine’s dunks were so nasty, he had me like:
Before the dunk showdown at the Barclays Center, I was at Madison Square Garden for the Saturday All-Star practice. Check out the pictures of the players talking to the media below. This was when KD says the media aren’t his friends.
Kevin Durant on the media : “You guys really don’t know shit. To be honest, I’m only talking to y’all because I have to.”

Harden talked about his beard that he will never shave and Westbrook talked about attending numerous fashion events during Fashion Week. The NBA All-Star game is so serious y’all. Here’s me addressing the media after my fourth triple-double of the season:
MVP Westbrook came off the bench and dropped 41 points… for fun.
Nowitzki was told he was coming to the game Wednesday night to replace injured Anthony Davis. The news ruined his vacation plans but coming to the city was still exciting for the 13x All-Star. He says he’s just going to take it day-to-day and enjoy the rest of his days off to recharge for the rest of the season. Did you see Dirk’s dunk?
Steph Curry threw up the alley oop hoping someone would get it. Luckily the big guy came to the rescue and finished an alley oop for the first time since ’04.
To sum up All-Star weekend:
